Slayer’s album Seasons in the Abyss came out in the fall of 1990 and “War Ensemble” was one of the singles. I remember I would look forward to seeing this video on Headbanger’s Ball back in those days. Quite possibly Dave Lombardo’s pinnacle performance. As far as the lyrics to the song: the more things change, the more they stay the same.
